Thanksgiving for me would not be the same without the annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade. This is where I grew up, in the suburbs, and to this day, this is where we begin our Thanksgiving morning, perched at The Four Seasons Hotel.
My children embrace the room service menu, open the windows to hear the bands below, and giggle as they can't believe this is where we are, before heading to my mother's home for the annual feast.
I become very nostalgic on this day as I reminisce when my mom would ship me and my siblings downtown with my dad to the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel with his buddies, so she could have the kitchen to herself.
I have such strong visual memories. Turkey floats never change!
