It’s July and nowhere is immune to this heat. Here in Kentucky it currently feels like walking out to a humid sauna. What better way to beat the heat than to at least pretend I am at the beach? I think I’m going to set up a table poolside and give my guests that feel of water. But even if you don’t have a pool, these simple name tags invoke the sound of waves.
I really like to collect sea glass whenever I do find it. It’s beautiful blue and green tones have a calming effect on just about anyone. So I thought, what a great inspiration for a beach table setting! These only take about ten minutes to get, especially for the avid crafter who will most likely have most the materials on hand. Enjoy!
I used a regular piece of plain cardstock. For this project I chose goache, but you could also use watercolors or blend any paint really. Blend your blues and greens in a smear on the paper and let dry. I bought a simple tag punch at Micheals, line it up where you want and punch out the piece.
I used a sharpie to write on everyones name, a simple hole punch to tie the twine through and there you go. A simple but fun way to beach up any table setting. Don’t they look amazing with Pomegranate’s Ficus Dance Jade print!
