A lot of people don’t think about how the dishes they serve will go with their table setting. I like to coordinate what I’m cooking, it’s a big part of what’s going onto the table. Sometimes, it’s an easy way to start a theme for a dinner party. Once I’ve planned my menu I can easily start to picture what kind of night I want to have. Salmon is always an easy and enjoyable dish. When I find a good cut of it, I always am eager to set a table to go with it.
This recipe is a go to for me, it is put together quickly but really packs flavor. I love pairing the pink hues of salmon with the greens of Pomegranate’s Provence pattern. You can see here how I set the table for this particular dish, and hop over here for the delicious Peach and Basil Salad that pairs wonderfully with it. In less than an hour you have a fresh and delectable meal for four!
Garlic Encrusted Salmon
One large salmon filet, sliced into four pieces
four cloves garlic
1 tsp paprika
1 T Italian seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a baking sheet with olive oil and place filets skin side down on it. Crush the garlic cloves and spread evenly over each piece of salmon. In a small bowl, mix paprika, Italian seasoning and salt and pepper and sprinkle evenly over each filet. Place in the oven and cook for 15 minutes or until salmon easily flakes with a fork. I serve mine on a bed of fresh spinach with lemon slices for guests to squeeze over the fish if they prefer. Enjoy!
