Introducing Ourselves: Pomegranate, Inc.

Posted by on

Pomegranate Inc. was founded by Angela Beck in the spring of 1995. After years spent traveling, exploring and creating, Angela was eager to bring home the kaleidoscopic textiles and designs she’d seen on her journeys. In fact, among her initial hand-blocked designs was our namesake pomegranate print.

Two decades after our launch on the world-renowned Gainesway Farm, we’ve made our home in downtown Lexington, KY. Under Angela’s guidance, our dedicated team creates home textiles, decor, apparel and accessories that serve to enliven and inspire everyday experiences.

Meet Angela Beck

Angela BeckAngela Beck is a textile designer, entrepreneur, mother and creative thinker.

As a young girl, she was encouraged to experiment with a variety of media in her mother’s art studio on Philadelphia’s Main Line. At the University of Pennsylvania, Angela’s creative focus centered on studies in art history, fine arts and marketing. With her unique eye and design sensibilities, it didn’t take long for her to enter the marketplace, creating handmade fashion accessories sold to Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.

More than 20 years and five children later, Angela still begins each new design as she always has. “It begins with me using anything I can get my hands on — calligraphy pens, paint, rubber stamps and even my children’s pens and markers — to create.”

From hosting intimate gatherings and dinner parties in majestic horse country to throwing parties on the pink sands of Harbour Island, Angela continues to be inspired by the world around her and the warmth that comes from living, entertaining and creating.

Living Gracefully

At the core of our design philosophy is a commitment to crafting home and apparel designs that are graceful, timeless and full of life. Our roots are in traditional Indian craftsmanship and artistry conveyed through vibrant hand-blocked prints. Utilizing these time-honored techniques, we continuously expand our collections, evolving with inspiration from nature, colorful design motifs and even our own equestrian roots here in the Bluegrass region.

From our distinctive home textiles and fine linens to our womenswear and canvas bags, we believe in creating an effortless transition between home and travel.

Our Perspective

The Pomegranate brand is made to inspire the everyday. Vibrant, comfortable, distinct; it is an effortless lifestyle fit. Occasions are made special, travel is made cheerful and gathering family and friends is at the heart of it all. Our designs and methods are steeped in tradition, reflective of our bluegrass roots and made to last. The Pomegranate woman is graceful, content and full of life; she is warm and approachable wherever she goes.

Although Pomegranate has evolved over the past 20 years, our perspective has and will remain the same. We believe in the beauty of the accidental — the importance of surrounding yourself with unique goods rich with personality and character. Above all else, we believe that living well means living simply.
