Several times over these past strange months I found myself quarantined in my father’s bed room in England. It's a small but fascinating bedroom with a beautiful view out across the garden he had planted. My father designed the space with a bath at the end of the bed and a loo hidden in a cupboard. In this room there are two cabinets filled with curiosities from his life carefully arranged on glass shelves, lit to perfection.
The rest of the room is lined with bookshelves thathouse a library of cream and beige-colored books whose spines boast not only their titles but small gilt motifs. One of these little motifs has inspired this new collection of tablecloths and napkins, hand block printed in a rich gold. Look more closely and you’ll spot a surprise shell every-so-often, a reminder of island life, on the other side of the world.
This first edition collection is very limited; just in time for you.
