We seized the power of color and pattern to fill our summer series with optimism and joy. Colors inspired by the BLUSH pink seen in my parents' English rose garden, to the early morning GOLDEN sunshine of a Bahamas summer day, to the SEA FOAM washing across the empty evening beach.
And patterns borrowed from the reassuring avenue of palm trees that have stood proud in our garden in permanent dialogue with the Bahamian blue sky, to the David Hicks silk scarf patterned with sea shells, worn around his neck or as a pocket square in his jacket, to his own father's hallmark carnation flower, attached daily in the buttonhole of his impeccable suit, bowler hat in hand as he traveled to work by train, which became a distinctive design element discovered throughout the David Hicks archive.
This ENDLESS SUMMER collection is a series of personal stories. All these slices of life have been transformed into hand blocked designs intended to be mixed haphazardly together at the table, just as our families are.
