India Hicks’ latest collection of table linens designed by her eldest son Felix draws deeply from childhood memories.
India grew up at the card table playing Canasta with her mother, Lady Pamela, who was introduced to the game during her own youth, in the drawing rooms of post-war Europe. She kept it as a lifelong habit, a ritual of wit, and tactics. To this day Lady Pamela is dealing cards with a steady hand and a twinkle in her eye.
Whilst Felix’s own childhood games of backgammon with his father, David, were battles of strategy and ancient cunning.
Inspired by the elegance of vintage playing cards and the timeless geometry of backgammon boards, Felix has reimagined these motifs into a line that blends nostalgia with a modern sense of style.
A tribute to generational traditions.
